It's National Cat Day!
Since losing my sweet Charlie I've been letting my heart heal.
Finally it was time to bring a new furry love into my home.
Tiger and I spent a day checking out a few rescue cats at PetSmart before heading to our local animal shelter.
As Tiger told the ladies there, "we are looking for a calm cat, who likes children and likes to be petted!"
(I love this child)'
After playing with a few cats that just didn't steal my heart, we took this little cutie into the play room! She loved to be petted and was very affectionate! She kept going up to Tiger's hand for pets and he said, 'Grandma she loves my hand!' We played with her awhile longer, I held her and my heart did a little melty thing. Tiger looked at me and said, 'I think we found the one Grandma' and so we had.
Meet Annie Belle!
They think she is about 3 years old and was a stray. I can tell she loves people so she must have had a home at one time.
She has some unusual markings for sure and the prettiest eyes!
We had to submit our application and were told to come back the next day to pick her up. She was up to date on all her shots, spade, chipped and was well worth the $50 adoption fee.
Tiger and I brought her home and she was happy right from the start!
Loves my bed and has become quite comfortable there!
She is eating well and has those amazing 'laser' eyes in this photo!
She and Mr Toes have gotten to know each other and that is going well.
I can't tell you how happy I am to once again have a kitty to love!

Annie Belle is so sweet and I think you have a beauty! Isn't it sad how many cats are awaiting to be adopted. I wish I could take on more, but 4 is a lot to keep up with...especially with food and vet bills! Happy Fall, my dear friend, XOXO
Oh she is a beauty...such pretty markings! So happy she has found a forever home...I know she will bring great happiness into your lives! xo
So happy you have another kitty in your life....I have to say Miss Kitty changed my mind about how sweet cats are...and thanks to you the day you saw her and knew what she was! No we just have to convince Monty to stop barking at her! Annie Belle is beautiful....love those big eyes and love how Tiger knew exactly what he wanted.....Enjoy!!
Oh Linda, I'm so happy for you and your new furbaby! Charlie would approve. I think it's wonderful that Tiger was there to help you find your special kitty. I'll be sure and show Gizzy and Gabby your new baby's picture.
hugs,
Sissie
Oh my goodness, I am SO happy for you! And for Miss Annie, too of course - she finally has her forever home and will be so loved and taken care of! I agree that she is really a beauty. And I love that Tiger helped you find a kitty. xoxo
Oh Linda, she's just perfect. She has one side calico and one side tabby; how unusual.
I can see she has already started her fan club. :) "Welcome Annie"
Just the right family addition, beautiful Miss Annie

Annie Belle is a beauty. She is very lucky to have you as her Mom.
Welcome Annie Belle, you are a lucky little kitty to have such a great Mom and home to live in.
Annie Belle is a gorgeous name - for a gorgeous cat - I do love her eyes. You hit the jackpot and so did he. He is going to be sooo loved.
Hooray for you! She is very pretty. Enjoy your new Annie Belle!
warmly,

I think Miss Annie knew you were the one for her too and you had some wonderful help there with Tiger. Tiger knew which was the right one.
Aw, I'm sure Annie is thrilled with her new home! Enjoy:@)
I am so happy for you that you found a loving cat to rescue and share your home with. She is really pretty. I know you and your family will enjoy her. Good experience for Tiger too that he had that special feeling to know she was the one.
Enjoy and many blessings.
Audrey Z.
I am sure you all will live happily ever after.
Congratulations on your newest family member! She is beautiful! Thank goodness you have Tiger to help you get the right cat!
What a beautiful cat and so lucky to have a new home. So very happy for you!
Pets pick us. Looks like Ms. Annie picked you AND Tiger. Welcome to the family, Annie!!
I'm sorry about Charlie. I've been way behind on my blog reading and didn't know you lost him. The best tribute to his memory is to give another cat a permanent loving home! Annie is a beauty and Tiger is just the cutest little sweetheart!
I still have 6 cats. Three from our Human Society and 3 that were formerly feral and rescued by me or friends from trauma. I look forward to "Annie stories" here!
Sending love and hugs to your beautiful (and lucky) Annie! Linda, you are so sweet for welcoming her into your home and heart. Glad the time was right for you.
I don't have a cat now, but in the past gave homes to 3 strays and 2 from the shelter. They all had happy lives and gave so much more back to me!
Tiger helped you choose well, such a cutie! :)
I'm so happy your heart was healed enough to love another kitty needing a home. If I didn't have my pupsters, I'd get one. (Would sure help with the mice around here!) Your grandson says the most precious things! And she is gorgeous. Always wanted a calico...

Oh Linda. Annie Belle is a Princess.I love her already, too. You are SO LUCKY. I want another kitty, too, but hubs is vetoing it from the get go. Too much $, too much stray hair, too much everything...blah blah blah. Oh, I'd go to the pound immediately if I could. I'll have to live precariously through Annie Belle's posts. CONGRATULATIONS. Tell Tiger he did a great job. Susan p.s. Thanks for the visits.Love them.
Well, I don't know how I missed National Cat Day (Lizzie would be appalled!) but I'm glad you didn't! Annie is beautiful. I love her cali markings and her face is very much like my Lizzie's with those gorgeous soulful eyes and black and white markings. Oh, don't you just love her? She looks as though she's really settled in. I know you will give her a wonderful home.
Oh, Annie Belle is just gorgeous! I am happy to hear you adopted her. She is a lucky girl and I know you will be happy with each other. She does have some unusual markings...so pretty! Have a great week.
Hugs, Vicky
Oh LInda, she is adorable. I so miss having a kitty. I get to enjoy my daughter's cat when I babysit Otto. Your grandson was a big help and kids just know, don't they? Love his insight.
Happy November
Hi Linda! Oh, little miss Annie is a beautiful girl! I'm so happy for you to get her. I'm sure you both will have a great time. Glad the grands love her too! Thanks for popping in to see me and I hope you had a nice Halloween!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What a sweetie with such pretty markings! I love her name too. I lost my Miss Kitty in February last year and waited till September to look for a new one. We decided we had to have two so we adopted a white calico, Sprite and a black Burmese, Cyrus. I am so in love with them and so happy to have kitties to love again. They are very naughty though!
She is beautiful Linda...I just love her markings!...I have a kitty with the same eye color...I know she will have a good home and happy life with you...
Hi Linda!!
So sorry to hear about your Charlie!! It's so hard to loose your Shadow and bestest friend who loves you no matter what!!
Annie Belle is lovely and I'm thrilled that she found you and that you found her!!!
Have a wonderful future bonding and living together!!
Such a sweet story Linda! I think you stole the cats heart as much as she stole yours. Tiger is a smart boy! Annie is a beauty and I love her unusual markings!
hugs,
Jann
Oh my, cat sweetness overload! What a precious post, my friend. Cat's have a way of touching our hearts in a special way....at least I have found that with the 4 that I've had.
Hugs to you!
We had a cat for years and years, but now that we have Lulu, a cat isn't possible.
How beautiful and sweet! My heart did the melty thing reading about Annie. She's gorgeous and her personality looks as amazing as she looks. What a delight. My heart is happy now.
Aww, she's so sweet!
