What a week of mixed emotions for me...
I helped my daughter Ashleigh pack up her apt for her move to Calif.    It was wonderful to spend three days together but also hard to say goodbye.  Some tears but also such joy for her as she starts this new phase of her life.  She has promised to fly me out to see her new home this fall!
See you soon Ash!
I then went to help Sara and Blake move back home from summer camp.  Blake is doing well and his ankle is healing but he is still on crutches.  Sara also started work Monday and it was her first day away from Tiger.  I took care of him most of the day and while we had 'moments' it went well.  Tiger is now in 'Daddy Day Care' and it looks like they are having great fun.  Check out this cute video!
Tiger has grown so much and is showing even more of that wonderful personality of his.
He is reaching for the toys on his play mat
He then brings it down to his face and tries to put everything in his mouth of course!
I love his surprised look when he 'gets it'
Tiger you are the sweetest Grandson in the world!
'I love you too Grandma!'
I'm getting ready for the WLYS and can't wait to see what treasures I find this year!

Sooo cute! Tiger is just adorable! I understand completely how you feel. I still get teary every time my sons visits from Charleston and leaves to go home and it's only a few hours away. LOL! Saying goodbye is tough on us moms! Big hugs to you!

I know exactly how you felt, packing Ashleigh up and watching her leave. (Our daughter moved to Montana four years ago, and the tears fall every time she visits and I have to say goodbye again.) Telephone calls and text messages make things a bit easier ... but it still sucks.

Tiger is sure growing! I remember just yesterday when he was a baby ... wait a minute, he's STILL a baby ... but he's a bigger baby now. What a cutie!

Kids leaving home. If I'd have known how it felt I'd have stayed closer to home. Maybe. My hubby says if our son moves, we are following. Tiger is too cute for words!

Oh my GOSH, Linda. Tiger is the most adorable baby ever! SOooooo sweet. Loved the video, too. You are one lucky Grammie. Your heart must be doing cartwheels for Ash. Such a bittersweet time....wanting our "kids" to be independent, like we raised them, but wanting to hold them close to our hearts---nearby! Yeah, I know how that is. Take care. Susan

Love it! He is such a cutie! I am glad to hear Blake is healing well. I can imagine how hard it was for Sara to go back to work. My dil started a new job last week. She has been home with Little Darling since he was born so she is having a hard time adjusting to being away from him.

He is sooo adorable. I'm glad you have the joy of this sweet child in the midst of your daughters move.

It is so hard to see them go on with their lives...even though that's what we raised them for.

What a sweet baby! I stopped at the Wlys off I-64 in Kentucky on my way home yesterday and while it was set up day, I did snag a few goodies. But gawd it was scorching hot! Good luck to you!

Skype has been a lifesaver when my daughter is away at school. We have wireless and I would take my laptop around the house to show her new things, or we would put the laptop on the dining room table and have a "family dinner" via Skype with her. I highly recommend it! I'm still wowed by this technology, unlike the younger generation who takes it all for granted!

Tiger is the cutest little boy and he is lucky to have such a proud and loving grandma!

I know how hard it was to watch your daughter go. I had to do the same thing a few years back. Thankfully she's now living 30 minutes away.
Love the shots of Tiger and the video was adorable. Such a cute little face

Hi Linda,
I know it must be really hard to let you daughter move so far away. They grown up fast.
And now you have your sweet grandson to fill up your life too.
