INITIALLY YOURS....THE LETTER 'B'

As most of my followers know I am not a 'crafty' girl.  However this fun swap sounded like something I could do and push myself to be a little creative

'Initially Yours' hosted by Sue at

My swap partner is Becki of
She has been as busy as I have and hasn't had a chance to mail my swap yet.  I was able to get mine mailed Monday before heading over to help my daughter and SIL.  So this is what I sent Becki!
I took an old candy box and covered it in scrapbook paper.  I bought a wooden letter B and painted it blue which is Becki's favorite color.  I then covered it with buttons in shades of blue.
I got this done before leaving for camp so when I got back I had very little time to continue to craft.  I finished the box and decided to add some items for her that began with the letter 'B'
A cute note pad that says Believe,
a stamp saying Beautiful and a
Bracelet in shades of blue

Becki I hope you enjoyed this swap.  I am looking forward to receiving mine and will share it on my blog.
Hugs,
Linda

THRIFTY THINGS FRIDAY

This has been a crazy week!  Thank you all for your prayers for my family.  Blake will have his ankle surgery on Monday.   We are hoping for a positive outcome and a good recovery!

I wanted to join Diann's party and share some junkin finds from a few weeks ago

I found this little box
It is made by Touchstone Pottery in Nova Scotia and is fine porcelain.
On the top is a Celtic Design.
  I paid 40 cents!

This sweet little pitcher or creamer was also a very happy find...so cute and only 75 cents...lots of uses for this.
This juice bottle is missing a lid but I love the stripes on it and also only 75 cents

I was really taken with this old mixer bowl.  The shape and the bands on it are really attractive.  What kind of mixer did it come from?

GE and for $1 I had to add it to Mr ACL's Mixer Collection

I hope you will go by Diann's and join in her fun Thrifty Things Friday party

Hugs to you all!

UPDATE...

Thank you so much for your prayers and well wishes for
Blake and Sara.

Blake has seen an Orthopedic Surgeon and they will do surgery to stabilize the ankle with pins.  The ankle is too swollen to do surgery today so they set it and put a temporary hard cast on it.  Blake is home resting.  He will be going back to the Dr on Wed and they will determine when the surgery will be.  I am going to go stay with them for a few days and help with Tiger.

Hugs to you all!

Linda

PRAYER REQUEST

To all my sweet readers and dear friends
I am requesting prayers for my Son In Law Blake....He broke his ankle late Saturday night up at camp.
He went to the closest ER and they put him in a soft cast and told him to contact an Orthopedic Surgeon.  He will be getting an appointment today in the town they live in.  He is in a great deal of pain.
This has really thrown them for a loop.  Changed their summer plans most likely and financially strained them to the max.

Please keep them in your prayers.
I will update you when I know more.
Thank you so much!
Linda

THRIFTY THINGS FRIDAY

I'm joining Diann over at The Thrifty Groove for her Thrifty Things Friday party.  I hope you will go by and check it out!

I bought myself some thrifty Birthday presents....please tell me you buy yourself Birthday presents too!
I squealed out loud when I found this adorable Flamingo Coffee Mug
I really love the colors and design of the Flamingos and it was only .99
The artist is Jill Seale
She has some of the cutest designs
I also got a cute photo book to keep in my purse...I mean a Grandma's got to brag about such a cutie as my Tiger!
I also found this cute photo album to put more Tiger photos in!
Both of these albums were 75 cents each!  Not Bad!
Since I'm just back from Camp this is a short post.  I wanted to make sure to join my good friend Diann for her party!
Thank you all for the sweet Birthday wishes.  It was a nice day and it's good to be home, but I do miss those Tiger kisses!

Hugs to you all,
Linda
