So Much Sadness!

I haven't blogged much this month.  It has been filled with too much anger and sadness for me.
The events in Charlottesville sent me to my knees.  So much hate and racism.  I thought we were better then that but it seems we aren't.  A president that encourages it.  I just can't!

A couple of fun things!
I know this is blurry but Annie and Moe (the buck) had a stare down, then Moe proceeded to
Eat bird seed. These deer make me smile!
Mom and I watched our 99% eclipse and really enjoyed it.
Then a storm named Harvey entered the picture.  I have family in Corpus Christi and Houston.  So far all are fine but some flooding and it's not over yet. So much destruction and loss of life.  I have prayed and continue to pray for all in the path of this storm.

Then we got very sad news.
My beloved Mama Rentz passed away.
She is my children's paternal Grandma and so so loved.  She had a great life and at 93 was ready she said many times but we weren't and aren't.
So much love!
Ashleigh has flown in from Calif and we will be driving down to So. Georgia today.  Sara and family will drive down tonight.  The funeral will be tomorrow.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.  This is a very hard goodbye for all of us.
Here is the link to her obituary in case you are interested.

I haven't been as faithful about reading and commenting on your blogs lately.  I hope that September brings more peace for all and a return to some normalcy!

Wishing you JOY,
Linda

So very sorry for the loss of your loved one, Linda. How wonderful she touched your life, and the lives of your girls, so profoundly. The devastation in Texas is horrendous and I pray for all the people there. Also, our country is in a terrible time in history with no good leadership, for sure. But this, too, shall pass, and eventually things will get better (I hope.) Hugs, Linda. Susan

I know. I'm watching TV coverage now. Can't seem to turn off the flood victim coverage. My heart goes out to them in every way. Cute pics of the critters!

Every day I come home from work and ask my family to tell me some good news if they have any. Yes, there is so much sadness, but we have to focus on the good whenever we can and wherever we can find it. So sorry to hear you lost a loved one, but I'm sure the good and loving memories you have of her will live on. I love that you have a deer that comes to visit. That would definitely bring me joy.

Oh Linda so much sadness and loss for you. Sorry about your families loss of a great lady. The devastation in Texas is hard to see. I think of all those families that have lost everything and also all the pets in need of being saved and sheltered too. Just devastating.
The racism too is hard to handle in this day and age. We have come so far in this country to have this kind of set back. We all certainly need to pray harder for more peace and help for so many in need. My prayers are with you as you struggle. The deer looking in the window put a smile on my face and also seeing you and your mom looking at the eclipse how fun!!! Hope these small joys help while you are surrounded in such sadness of late.
xoxo

Linda, I'm so sorry that your world has had such sadness. That our world has had that sadness, but for you a more personal time of concern and loss. Sending wishes of peace and healing upon the loss of your dear Mother in law and prayers for the safety of your family in the flooded areas. Our world is a hard place these days, but I have to say, that the deer peering in the window truly made me smile.

I was sorry to hear of your family's loss with your mother-in-law, and I know, on top of everything, with Harvey bearing down on Houston, Corpus Christi and Galvaston, you have a tough few weeks. My heart and prayers go out to you and I will continue to pray for those in Texas enduring this devastation. XOXO

Hi Linda,
I'm sorry for your loss and hope you are doing ok. Yes, the past month has seemed overwhelming, with the violence and now flooding. I'm just heartsick for those people. And I totally agree with you about the hatred and racism and our president. Moe the deer made me laugh, I love your pictures! Looks like he's a regular visitor to your yard:)
I've been away from blogging for so long, and I've missed blogging friends. Take care.

you are so right about all the sadness..in the news, on blogs and Facebook...and then, of course, our own personal sadness...I barely can remember the months of Feb, Mar, April, May, June and then July...he was so ill and it went so fast...I am overcome, at times, with so much sadness, I just lay and cry...I have to work at it so so hard to keep it from drowning me in blackness...staying busy..joining in with friends and family every chance I get...it helps.

Linda, there certainly is alot of sadness in the world today. We have to look for the good and try not to dwell on it! I keep them in my prayers. Terrible hurricanes, and fire raging throughout the world. Seeing the eclipse was fun! We didn't get that awesome experience, but I still enjoyed it. Keep safe my friend!!
hugs,
Jann

My heartfelt prayers go out to you in these times of frustration and in the loss of you loved one. So many hard things going on in all of this world........I am proud of Texas and how everyone jumped in to help out. We have family in Rosenberg and Richmond. Through evacuations and scary days of not knowing ......they all returned to their homes untouched. Hang in there and don't let the dark times in this life bring you down.

Linda, there has been so much hardship in the world lately and when you pile your personal things on top of that it can be overwhelming! I understand totally.

We live right outside of Dallas so when Harvey hit Houston...and even still...I eventually had to stop watching the news. It's just too much.

Thank you for your sweet comment about our living room. Yes, you need that denim sofa!! There's a point in every day when I wonder what the heck I was thinking getting this light colored one. Every kitty hair shows. :)
