Hello Blog World!
It's me Linda!
I am finally back in Georgia. Mom is with me!
The last few weeks were intense but we made it here.
The moving container was delivered on June 2nd
Here it is empty!
Here it is packed. We added several more things after the packers left...of course!
The container was picked up on June 6th
Then came the moving sale....it was only so so successful. So much left and we finally had to get someone to clean out the remaining items.
It was the best birthday gift ever! I was so tired, but we still went to Outback to celebrate my 64th Birthday on June 9th
My Mom, me, Patrick, Cousin Joletta, Cousin Karen and Aunt Betty
(my cousin Heather took these photos)
Here I am with my birthday dessert...but what you don't see in this photo is.........
Patrick (Heather's husband) trying to steal my ice cream!
We had a great time!

A few more days of closing things up with the house, lots of goodbyes and we left Texas for Georgia. Two days on the road and finally....
I'm Home!
We toured Mom's apartment, bought some new furniture and tonight she is spending her first night in her new apt.
The moving container will be delivered next week, but I am letting someone else unload.
I'll help unpack boxes of course.

We do know we packed too much, but another round of editing and Mom should be mostly settled by the end of June.
I have missed all of you so very much!
I've tried to visit your blogs and post a few quick messages on Facebook, but I'm not sure I've ever been this tired in my life.

Welcome back, Linda. I'm happy to hear that your mom is settled in and things are calming down for you. I'm sure there is a little cat who is very happy to have you back where you belong. Hugs
Have a good rest!! You deserve it!
Well Linda, we have missed you, too! That was a monumental task that you just completed for your dear Mom.
Hope her first night in the apartment goes well. It is quite a huge change for her. God bless her. And YOU!
Whenever you get back to blogging, we will be waiting for you! Susan
I know you are glad to be back home, and glad to see your Mother settling in her new abode. You have been thru a lot - Now rest and take care of Linda for a while. You deserve "me" time now. ((hugs))
welcome home sweet friend and belated Happy Birthday. You look amazing in those photos ;j
Oh goodness!!! What a journey both you and mom have been on! I moved my Mom in December to an independent living apartment and yes, it is so difficult for them to move and decided what to bring and get settled in, 7 months later she is STILL settling in! Beware, sometimes the adjustment at their age is not easy...Wishing you both the best and hoping her cat is settling in too!

Welcome back home Linda. It must feel so good to finally be back in your own place and to see that your mom is getting settled in hers. Easier said than done, but try to get a little downtime for yourself.
Sounds like we're both exhausted.. my saga almost over..or the worst of it anyway lol
So good that you are back and have your Mom all situated. That's how I felt after helping Brenda move. It is just so hard and so tiring. But, such a good feeling when it is finished!
Rest a while.

Wow, Linda, you have been very, very busy! I'm sure your mum must be happy to be in her new place and you must be happy to be home. I am going through the same process with my parents, as they make the move from the east to the west coast.
Wow such a big undertaking! Looks like everything is working out well and now your mom will be close by and I have to believe she'll be so happy to be able to see you more often. I'm sure you're glad to be back home and bet your kitty is glad you are too!
Glad that most of it is over for you and looks like a wonderful celebration. Try to rest up as much as you can :)

I am so glad that you have your mom there with you! Just look at all that you have accomplished this summer. I know you are worn out so please sleep late and rest up for the next few days. We have had a great couple of months at our booth at the Knitting Mill, it is so much fun to go hunting for treasures! Hope to see you soon!
