Oui Oui Paree!

The dates are set for my trip to Paris!
I will leave on Sept 4th arriving on Sept 5th and I will depart on Sept 17th~~
 Yes 12 nights in Paris!
I am so lucky!

So where am I staying?  I have rented an apartment on the Rue Saint-Dominique
Rue st-dominique is utterly charming, you will walk along constantly turning your head in fear of missing a shop window on the opposite side of the street. Enjoy taking a stroll without any time constraints bc there are plenty of boutiques, patisseries etc that will lure you in. If you have time make a small detour down rue jean nico where there is an amazing bakery/patisserie - you cant miss the pink facade. Also give yourself a good 30-45 min detour down rue cler a bustling charming market street with great cafes and restaurants. This region of the 7th arr is charming and delicious!
(review from TripAdvsor)

I am renting a studio apartment from Clickappart

This is the photo that made me fall in love with this apartment
A bed with a view...now this is Paris
A little living area with flat screen TV, internet connections
and more space then a hotel room
A small kitchen so I may eat in after my long days of sight seeing! I can buy fresh food daily and save money since eating out is very expensive!
Oh I will eat out some of course!!
On the fifth floor with an elevator this apt will be my home for 12 glorious days!
I am renting this for 1520 Euros which is $170 a night, the same or less then many hotels and I will get so much more!
(all apt photos from clickappart website)
Here is a map and as you can see I am walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the famous Rue Cler shopping district and several museums.
I can't believe I will be there in less then 7 months!
I am now starting my lists of things to see and do!
I am so excited and happy and so I had to add some goodies to your Paris Bag

Cute notepad and cards that match the
Paris bag that one of you will win after my trip

So that is the latest news on Paris!
I'm so happy to be sharing my trip with all of you!

I'm joining

Wishing you JOY,

Oh Linda - I'm so excited for you!!!
We stayed for many many years just around the corner from Rue Cler - the 7th is a gorgeous district - did you know you can walk to the Champ D'Elysee from there as well? It's just across the Seine from St. Dominique!!!
And there's a restaurant that you HAVE to treat yourself to when you're there L'ENTRECOTE - promise me!!!
You're also near the metro that will take you to La Galerie Lafayette without changing lines - it's a direct route - 6 or 7 stops I believe!

Keep us posted on your preparations.

Forgot to say I'm going to save this for the apartment info - what an incredible deal and what an incredible space!!!
I've got the balcony image on pinterest and never knew it was an apartment LOL - to have a personal balcony in Paris?
Don't think it gets better than that!

Oooh, la, la! I am so excited for you, Linda! Imagine drinking your morning coffe at that cute little bistro set on your very own balcony, eating a fresh and flaky croissant from a nearby boulangiere! You are going to have so much fun! Be sure to visit Sacre Couer, it is on the highest hill in all of Paris. Just don't go there over the weekend, it is way too crowded, and everyone will want to sketch your picture!!!

You are so lucky I think it would cool to visit Paris if only I spoke French..........can't imagine myself trying to communicate with people who do not understand me and me not understanding them...........lol

Okay Lady......I didn't see a shout out to your best friend of all times (maybe that's an exaggeration) who suggested you rent an apartment for that real Paris experience.....you can thank me later...LOL. I think we all should go down to the airport when you fly out for a Bon Voyage party..... how does that sound?

Oh Linda, how fun having all that time to prepare and dream. I spent several months in that fair city; maybe they still have free organ concerts in the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Your choice of the apartment looks sensational and practical.

I hope you will go to a flea market or 2 and find yourself some awesome reminders of your trip!
Looks like a very nice apartment that you will be staying at!

How amazing!!!! I loved staying in an apartment, it felt a little more homey. We had planned to eat breakfast in every day but darn, those cafés crèmes and croissants are too good!

You have a beautiful apartment in a very central area. You will love every minute of it. It was by far the best trip of my life and I would return again and again if I could. (And I've eaten at L'Entrecôte, as recommended by Suzan, it is delicious and the service is top notch, yet it is affordable!)

Ellie VanCaster said...

That is so wonderful-congrats. A very smart way to rent-a little spot of your own that you can pretend is yours forever ;-)

SIGH...oh, Linda, PLEASE take me with you. ;) Dreamy, dreamy, dreamy. Of course, I'd have to include Italy in the itinerary (lifelong dream of mine to live there one day), but wouldn't we have a blast. PLEASE take LOADS of pictures so I can get inspired and maybe even come up with a new tag. I think I'm already inspired. ;)
Thank you for the anniversary wishes. The concert was magic.

that sounds utterly amazing! i've never heard of that site, but i know people who have used airbnb, which is a home share site like the one you used. i am sure you are rearching and listing things....we are crossing something off our bucket list this summer, an alaskan land and sea tour. so it will be 12 days, too, which i can't wait for. i already have a list and books and can think of nothing else, lol. here's to travel and bucket lists!
