Miss Jenny is is time for Y???
Yes!
It is amazing that we are at the letter Y! I thought of many things but one kept crossing my mind
Y is it we love a color? Have you ever thought about it? Because of the way it makes us feel? Or look? (as in clothes) or reminds us of something? If that is the case then I LOVE Pink, Red, Blue,
White, Black and Aqua. But Yellow??
I don't like Yellow
Why? I don't know but when I decided to find yellows all I could find were these items
If this seems like a lot of yellow, considering my
vast "collections" it's not much
A Blue Ridge Plate with gorgeous yellow flowers
Some planters, one new with blue
(I love yellow and Blue)
Two old cracked but cool pale yellow pots
A few pieces of vintage Fiesta in pale yellow
A melmac pouring cup and two little ceramic pitchers
Another old planter
One of my favorites...a Little Hostess Creamer in
a wonderful shade of yellow
(found 2 yrs ago on the Longest Yard sale)
This melmac tray in a very pale yellow
Remember these April Cornell napkins?
Of course they have blue in them also
So this makes me think about the color yellow and
be more aware of it Because
I DO LOVE YELLOW
I don't have a lot of it so we shall see
if that changes
Now these yellows make me very happy!
I'm joining in with Miss Jenny for
and
With Suzanne over at
Always,
Linda

I love some shades of yellow. The melmac tray is my shade of yellow.
I'm not a big fan of yellow either. Except for flowers. You have a wonderful collection ;)
Thanks for sharing :)
Great Y post! I am still working on mine! I like yellow and I own some yellow clothes plus my very first car was canary yellow! A 1962 Dodge Swinger! I adored that car! I better get busy and finish my post! Hugs Anne
Beautiful yellows, I just love the little creamers....so sweet!! Have a great VTT!
i love yellow. my kitchen wall are yellow. yellow says to me Welcome
Iam glad you love yellow. I know I sure do. My house is full of it now and a few years ago I did not care for it. Great Y post.
Yellow has never been one of my favorite colors. I really cannot wear it as it makes me more washed out looking than I am. It looks nice on your dishes.
My favorite color at this time is red. But as the years have passed I have had a change in heart it seems of my favorite color. I remember loving yellow as a child. I had a room painted yellow with a yellow floral spread.
Yellow....love it, one of my favorite colors...and what fantastic stuff you have here...love those cute dishes.
Love the fiesta ware, one of my favorite collectibles. And how fun that you got to enjoy the Longest Yard Sale! Kat
I do like yellow, and I like your yellow things! The little yellow creamers are so sweet!
My favorite is the Blue Ridge plate.
cute yellows.
Lovely pale yellow pieces.... I love vintage dishes....bkm
I'm always surprised when someone says they don't like yellow! Glad you changed your mind! I have the pale yellow Fiesta cups (and the whole set!)
Katherine
Love the yellow, so summery and cheerful!
Oh, I absolutely LOVE yellow! My mother, who loved pink and sewed all my school dresses, avoided that sunny color as it was not one of her favorites. But I would have worn a yellow dress every day of the week if she would have relented and made one for me! Bring on the yellow, it cheers me up.
Liz
It's funny, I don't generally like yellow but for some reason have found myself more drawn to it recently. Your collection is lovely :-)
I LOVE yellow! I can't wear it at all, which defies the philosophy of decorating with colours that look good on one. Yellow walls make me think of sunshine, which is in short supply during our rainy winters. I like your yellows.
I am not a yellow person .... yet i do love a lot of yellow things ...
Lovely collection! Just like with quilting, a little yellow can brighten up everything else, but a can a long way.
Then there's some of us who think you can never have enough, especially with blue. Just like YOU said.
i dont really like yellow too! but your collection seems to be pretty and happy yellow! thanks for sharing and happy VTT
One thing I love about coming here is that you have some of the loveliest things and you share them! Nice Y!
I love yellow & blue together, the colours I associate with Brittany, France.
Your yellow plate with the white flowers is very pretty.
Maggie
After white and blue, I can say that Yellow has is place in my home! It's refreshing!
You found quite a few yellow treasures...that plate is cute. I don't think I have seen any Blue Ridge pieces in my trips to the thrift shops...it's not like you could very well miss them, the patterns are usually very distinct... big and bold!
Hi Linda! I love yellow...something that has changed over time! That Blue Ridge plate is wonderful! I was betting that your Y would be yard sale! lol I haven't made it to the Longest Yard Sale yet...how fun! Happy weekend!...hugs...Debbie
I actually like the color yellow, and I don't think I have as many things as you do! I love that Blue Ridge plate and that little swan the most!
Have a great weekend!
Carol
Yellow wasn't a big favorite of mine. but, over the years I find myself kind of attracted to it. I even painted out bedroom a very light creamy shade of yellow. And what surprised me is that it almost works as a white. Most colors work with it. That surpised me. Now, I have been adding different shades of yellow everywhere! LOL
Melmac! WOW! I haven't thought of Melmac in years. Love your pale yellow pieces...collectible Melmac! Yes!
Your daisy plate is lovely!
Great collection even though yellow isn't your favorite color. Pretty flowers.
I think it is hard not to love yellow. I really like your blue ridge plate and those gorgeous flowers!!! :-)
My favorites are the pale yellow pouring cup and those sweet little pitchers!!
Love,
Susan and Bentley

At first I grinned when you said you didn't like yellow, considering YellowBoy. Glad you came around! I love the shade of yellow in your vintage Fiesta, though the turquoise Fiesta is my favorite. Longaberger also had a great, creamy yellow called butternut. I have several pieces in that to accent with my ivory pottery with blue accents. Sold Longaberger for nine years and can't remember the name of that pattern...shameful ;-)
you have more yellow than me :D
I once did not like yellow but I have discovered that I like it more and more. I don't wear yellow because I have "yellow" hair and it doesn't look very well with my skin tone. I think if you gave yellow a chance, you might like it!
Oh! I love your sunny yellows. Yellow was my mother's favorite colors and it always makes me think of her.
Happy VTT!
Sally
GREAT yellows for someone who doesn't like yellow, lol! All terrific vintage pieces :)
Blessings!
Gail
Love the cracked yellow pots! :)
*hugs*deb
I love pale yellow. Your yellows are delightful. Well done. ~olive
You self talked yourself into liking yellow! I love it! You had a nice array of yellow! sandie
Hi Linda,
Yellow is such a happy and pretty color and your treasures are too! I HAD a collection of Blue Ridge small plates in different designs and love it!
Warmly,
Deb :)
Well if all that yellow can't cheer a person up nothing can! XXHugs, Mollye
LOVE your Blue Ridge plate and your Fiesta!!! Thanks for stopping by! I'll have to look at that pattern. I don't have any Metlox Poppy...yet!
Wonderful yellow post. I love yellow flowers, especially in fall, because they are so cheerful. I also like to look at lemons; I think lemon yellow is a very pretty color.
Linda, I love that Blue Ridge plate, and it looks like it is in perfect condition! I love the combination of blue and yellow too. laurie
not bad for a color you don't like! i like blue and yellow together too...makes me think of france (not really sure why!)
I am on and off with yellow. First I love it then I hate it. Makes it hard to redecorate. Love all your finds, very pretty
I really like your patriotic blog design Linda..so festive!
I didn't think I liked yellow so much either but this summer I bought some bright yellow accessory dishes and I have to admit they brighten up my table. You have a nice collection too! Happy "Y"!
I don't think I own a thing in yellow... well , the bathroom is painted a shade of it. I love yellow flowers though.
Blessings and hugs!
Gwen
Nice soft-yellow things. I like walls painted a cream/buttery/yellow because it is so easy to accessorize this color.
What a wonderful, happy stop on our little journey through Alphabet-Thursday's letter "Y".
I really liked that buttery-yellow Fiesta. It is so elegant. It looks like that planter is a pretty similar color!
I always enjoy my stops here. I love your generosity sharing pictures of your lovely finds with us!
A+
Pale yellow is such a lovely mellow color. I think it is the brighter yellows that I don't care for. You have some lovely things!
