The Best Laid Plans...

My plan to blog more has not happened yet.  I really want to start posting more like twice a week instead of once and I'll get there
I think.
Just not this week!

Work continues in the spare room.
This is progress!
I have been going through the craft supplies and putting them in storage baskets on the shelves.  I have more to go but I'm happy with it so far.
Emptied all these plastic shoe boxes and other containers.  Yes!
This corner needs more work but this is where I'm storing the donations for my church rummage sale in May.  Empty boxes to fill or recycle.  I have a few other boxes of items I've sold in the living room waiting on delivery.
Some cuteness!
I love my Maileg Holga (on sale after Christmas) and the pillow cover I found on Amazon before Christmas!  Loving the touches of red added to the gray futon.
In the dining area this storage unit has been cleaned and is waiting to be restyled.  The milk glass will be sold or wrapped up for the rummage sale.  I got rid of more glassware and started rearranging in the kitchen but stalled.
 I'm not so organized.
I keep starting here and there and it takes me to another room and then I never finish the original room.  I'm going to try to be more organized next week.  Make a plan a day to get things done.
I love this sign I found at Cracker Barrel clearance.  It says it all!
I promised you an Annie photo!
She is the sweetest girl!

And good news, I'm on track for my book reading, seven so far this month.
Also almost caught up on laundry!
I'm a work in progress!

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

It is looking good! My craft room is still a huge mess! I get distracted too. I'm posting less. Things change and I'm okay with that.

Linda I just love those white shelves with the pick baskets - where did you get them? Adorable. Your new little girl is very pretty. I am glad you have her. You are getting rid of the plastic containers - they are expensive! Love, sandie

Linda, it's looking wonderful! I love the pink/grey colors you are using. I almost bought that Meileg, but everytime I picked her up at the store her skirt fell off. Is yours like that? I wondered if she was faulty. :)

Jann

I actually admire you for being able to stay away from blog and online to do something constructive. My office is a mess. I invited someone here next Saturday to show them how to blog so I'd better clean it up fast -- at least make it LOOK better even if I don't have time to do the purge. Bit by bit. (Are your square shelves IKEA? They look great. I've often admired those!)

I told you this years ago, and I tell you again ... you are my downsizing HERO!! What you did to make your move, and how you keep things in any sort of order while continuing to thrift shop, is a miracle. I bow to your skills!

You are really on a roll, Linda! I think the hardest part is hanging onto the stuff for a sale in the summer. I've got a big pile right now that I'd like to cart out of our basement.

It looks GREAT!!
Love the 'cubbie unit' that holds your craft supplies - where did you get that??
Be Well,
and remember - all good things begin with INTENTIONS, and you are on the right path!!

You are doing good, Linda. It all takes time and we all get distracted...that is just the way it is. I love all you pink and gray totes, I get some and think I have enough and find out that I don't and when I go back to get more...you guessed it...they don't have them. I guess I should get more than I think I need and take back what isn't used. Live and Learn. Annie is so cute and such a sweet face. Feel better soon. Hugs.

You are spurring me on! I have a small china cabinet in my kitchen and the bottom cupboard was stacked with all sorts of different plates, teacups, salt and pepper shakers, gravy boats, etc. I cleaned it out the other day and made two piles: one for donation and the other to take to a particular antique shop where they buy things outright (50% of what they will sell them for). But now I have to delve into the scary stuff: the unfinished part of the basement where all my housewares are stored. It's a nightmare!

I think we're all a work in progress! I had to suddenly organize a basement area because the builder was finally installing a 4th zone heat pump for our bedroom. Since it is so far away from the main furnace, we froze in the winter and sweated in the summer! Now, I have to get ready to travel to the UK for a show on the 17th. After that, well....Spring will be coming and it will be time to mulch beds, trim perennials, and so some plantings. Take care and I hope you feel better! XOXO

I need to copy you and get organized!! Like how you are using the baskets/cubes to keep your things. We are soooo cluttered -- it's really bothering me!!!
Annie is a cutie!!!

Linda, you are really coming along! Sorry I'm so late, just stuff going on.
I love the basket system, and have some myself.

You are doing great decluttering Linda! I have not been doing as well. For some reason I have really had no motivation the last few days. I think it is a lot of gloomy weather, It just doesn't give you the energy a sunny day does. That seems to be a problem for me when it comes to blogging. There is little to no daylight that comes into my home. So it makes getting pictures pretty difficult. Oh well. I will just keep plugging along! :)
