Thrifty Things For The House

I have cut down on my thrift store buys, but I do like to find useful kitchen items.
I always look at coffee mugs...not that I need more but I do love to find new one's.  The Black & White pattern was .50 and will join my Waechtersbach collection.  The other matches another mug I found thrifting and was only .25

This little set of three measuring cups was .25 and will be in Scout's play kitchen.  Tupperware is always a good find for $1

I love the fabric on this homemade casserole carrier.  These are always handy at this time of year.  $1

Two little items for .20 each
A melamine cup always useful as a scoop and a Plantonite custard cup.

A favorite find, a Paris design bowl that matches some plates I have!  $1

I hope all of you had a lovely Thanksgiving.  I shared a meal with my Mom and my friend Carter.  It was yummy!  Now I'm thinking of Christmas!

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

Hi Linda, always fun to find a bit of Paris while thrifting. Melmac for children's play kitchen - what a good idea. I always feel happy when I find a pretty mug to add to my collection (and sometimes a boring mug gets donated to make space.). Have a good weekend.

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! I always look at coffee mugs and dishes too, even though I certainly don't need anymore. ;-)

I like to have sweet mugs around this time of year for last minute gifts. Just add a gift card and hot chocolate mix! You are so cheap and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Of course there was Paris.

Very, very good finds! I have two of those Parisian bowls and I wish I had bought more when they were in the store, along with the rest of the china. I love them! (I found it ironic, though, when buying them, on the front of the bowl was a red sticker that said "Made in Great Britain!" It wouldn't have been quite so funny if all the images weren't the quintessential Paris!)

I love your Paris plate!
Did they stop making Tupperware - that was great stuff.
See you next week!

Glad you are still having fun with the thrifts. I haven't had time to stop in my favorites, but did attend the yearly Settlement Club Garage Sale and came home with a few fun things. The $2 grapevine wreath is my current centerpiece enhanced with bittersweet and holding a Cinderella pumpkin.
