Cake and Coffee {Verismo Review}

I am back home for two weeks!
I have some business I must attend to before returning to Texas to finish moving my Mom to GA.  While home, I wanted to take some time to catch up with my daughter Sara!
What better way then Cake and Coffee!
A few months ago I was contacted by Jessica at Staples wanting to know if I was interested in doing a product review on the Verismo coffee brewing system by Starbucks!

I was given the complete system and coffee pods of my choice for the review.   I was not compensated for this post and all opinions are 100% my own.

I choose the champagne color and it is a bit more 'gold' then I realized but it still looks great in my kitchen.  It also comes in Black and Red.  I like that you can brew an Expresso to a Latte with this machine.  They have Milk Pods to make a nice foamy drink!
Water tank holds enough to brew several cups of coffee.  I like how the Verismo has a cleansing cycle between cups.
Pick youe Pod, drop in the slot and pull down the lever.  Pick the size brew and press a button!
Voila, an amazing cup of coffee!
Easy to use and attractive enough to put on a coffee bar or table at a breakfast!
Sara and I both choose Cafe Verona to drink with our yummy cake!
Coffee, Cake and a great visit with my daughter!

The Verismo was easy to use and the coffee is very good.  If you are a Starbucks addict then this is the system for you!
Available at Staples with many coffee products to choose from.

I set the table with matching dessert plates and mugs.  It's good to be home!

I'm joining

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

That coffee and cake look delicious! I'm a bit of a Starbucks fan - there are three storefronts within two blocks of my office, so I can get my fix anytime - and the, of course, I grind my own Starbucks beans at home on the weekends for a good cup. I'm glad to hear that the Verismo is a good buy.

The coffee looks good but I can't take my eyes off that cake. :) There is nothing better than time with one of your girls. Glad you are home and I bet Charlie is too. Hugs, Deb

I'm a Starbucks fan. Glad you are getting a brief retreat at home. I know you it must feel good. Enjoy your time with your sweet family, Linda.

The coffee and cake look yummy. But have to admit I am not a big enough fan of SB to invest in their machine. I am sure your daughter, her family, and your fur baby are glad you are back. Make room for some "me time". You deserve it right now.

Bet you are happy to be able to sleep in your own bed for a change!
Sorry, I am not a fan of Starbucks, to me it always tastes burnt...but I do love coffee!

Yum- nothing like a good cup of coffee and cake to boot! Cafe Verona sounds so good especially on this wet rainy day we're having. Glad your home even if it's temporary. I hope your mom is doing well.

Hi Linda! I bet you're shocked to see a visit from me! I've just scrolled through your past few blog posts and am a bit caught up on what's going on in your life. You are always one busy woman! The coffee maker looks great. I have a dumb question....Does it make "regular, plain old coffee?" I just drink it black!

I do love a Starbucks latte... I may have to convince the office to get one of these. Right now all we have is an espresso machine.

Wow! That is awesome. We shop at Staples all the time but haven't looked at these. We'll check them out next time! Great review my friend! Hope you have a good week, Sis! Hugs!

Hi Linda. Did you make the cake? Looks yummy.

I hate to admit it on a Starbucks posting but I prefer Dunkin Donuts! ha!

The coffee looked so good though that it made me want to make another cup for me! ha ha

Glad you are having some down time. Susan

Welcome home Linda. I'm sure you'll be so busy during your short trip home, but it won't be long before you're back home for good with your mom. Nothing better than a fresh cup of coffee and a slice of yummy cake to go along with it.

That coffee maker looks great. I love the smell of coffee but not the taste. If I did I think I would buy one of those. Have some great days at home before you leave again.

Glad to see you're home for a little bit, Linda. I know you've been working really hard with your mom, so I hope you can rest and recharge these two weeks. I bet they'll include lots of Tiger time and Charlie will make sure they include lots of Charlie time!

Hi, Linda! I know you're glad to be able to lay your head on your own pillow for awhile. It's important to be helpful to your Mom, but it's equally important to take a little down time to rejuvenate and feel the comfort of more familiar surroundings. No better way to accomplish that than over a good cup of coffee! The coffee cake just makes the time spent that much sweeter!

Welcome back, and I hope you're able to enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend!!

Glad I found another GA girl! Yey! We go through Athens quite often when we go to the mountains. We are definitely UGA fans and my husband goes to many home games. Love your blog. Hope you'll stop by and visit sometime.

Hi Linda! Oh, how great for you to get this little machine just for reviewing it! Looks good and how nice it makes great coffee! Now cake looks so good. Did you make it? I so wanted to tell you we were headed for a change of lifestyle but Hubby wanted me to keep it quiet until we actually sold the house! You know the love we have for our little grands! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Congrats on your free Verismo machine--what fun! I LOVE Starbucks. Loved your Girl Scout post--I was also a GS from brownies to Seniors, and I had a lot of wonderful experiences. Your memorabilia is delightful. So sorry you had to give up TTF (you and Diann have been wonderful hostesses!), but am glad Melissa's picking it up. Hope your trip back to TX and them home to GA goes smoothly.
Blessings,
Diana
