Thanksgiving 2013

This year I enjoyed a special time with my family!
Monday I had dinner here at my new place with both my daughters Ashleigh & Sara, my SIL Blake and of course Tiger!

I set a very simple table this year.
With a toddler you want to make sure little hands can't grab too much!
I used my vintage Fall dishes Metlox Woodland Gold!  I've been lucky to find enough plates to serve 4 and a toddler! Vintage green water glass and a brown wine glass complete the setting.
Tiger had his own special flatware and a tiny 'wine' glass.  He enjoyed toasting to the family with his Sprite!  I must say we had a great time!

My plans were to join my best friends D&T for Thanksgiving but a nasty cold has changed my plans.  I'm staying home and getting well.
So I set a tray table for one!
I had leftover ham, a baked potato and stove top stuffing.  I toasted with yummy apple cider to my family and all of you!

There are many ways to spend a holiday and today even if it's just me and Charlie, I know I am loved and I am so thankful!

Wishing you all a Joyous day!

Please keep our blogging friend Kathe and her husband Sean in your prayers.  Sean's Dad passed away this morning and it's been a rough time for them and Sean's Mom.
Thank you!

So sorry about Kathe and her family. As for your table, it's beautiful. I so admire your getting to eat with your loved ones. I had leftover pizza. But I did buy a frozen pumpkin pie. Guess that's my nod to the holiday.

"Happy Thanksgiving" Linda. It's lovely that the family joined you yesterday and if today was only you and Charlie-boy, well, that's fine, too. Get better soon. I was 8 days with a nasty cold and I am finally now on the mend. Lots of tea, honey, warm blankets and Charlie. Hugs, Deb

I sure hope you feel better soon. It's been quiet at our house today but I am thankful for all of my blessings and you can always see someone going through worse times. You set a very pretty table for one my friend. It's important to treat ourselves well and enjoy our lives. Sweet hugs, Sis!

Your Metlox table is lovely. Sometimes the simple tables are the prettiest. Love Tigers little glass. I hope you feel better soon. Love that you set yourself a nice place today even though you didn't feel well. That's a nice perk up when I don't feel well. Blessings to you Linda

It sounds like you had a wonderful celebration -- it doesn't matter the actual date! Your table looks so pretty (love the little wine glass for Tiger!) and your tray table is so festive! That would surely make you feel better! I spotted the acorn s&p shakers -- I remember those from Hallmark! Oh, and your embroidered napkin and pretty placemat -- I can't stand it, I love it all!
