February is full of fun holidays!
I'm sharing a tablescape for Mardi Gras!
I lived in New Orleans for many years in the '70's and have many fond memories of Mardi Gras parades and catching beads and doubloons!
I used the traditional colors of green, gold and purple
The centerpiece was my inspiration
Using candles, beads and 1970's doubloons
I added a dollar store mask and tinsel garland
The place mats are the backside of some with a pattern on the front.
I like the plain gold linen look.
A bright green charger bought at WalMart (?) a few years ago start the plate stack! The gold plate was found at the thrift shop last week for 1/2 price
I don't have much in the way of purple but these salad plates were a gift from my friend Terry and are a soft purple. The gold ramekin was also a thrift shop find.
Pale gold napkins with a darker gold napkin ring pick up colors on the table
Glassware was fun to add!
I used a green swirl boopie water glass and a dark purple wine glass
Bright green flatware found at GW are perfect
The Dollar Tree mask is just fun
I had the candles in my stash
and put them on candle holders to get different heights
I am happy how this simple tablescape turned out!
I like the plate stack and all the patterns and textures mixed together
Thanks for joining me as I share this table at
Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish!
Wishing You JOY,
Linda

Your table would be perfect with my tree Linda! I love it as much as you do! Those green boopies caught my eye of course, so much like Candlewick. And your stack of dishes are perfect! I love the centerpiece you put together too :-)
Very Mardi Gras looking. You must have a boat load of dishes with all the wonderful tablescapes you do?
Love it, Linda! We're short on Mardi Gras things around here.:-( Your table looks very festive! xo Nellie
Very pretty, Linda. Love the colours.
LOVE it all, especially the way you set up the candles. I visited New Orleans back the the late 80's. It was so much fun, especially the food. The food was AMAZING.
I haven't heard of The Dish party. Must check it out.
Thanks for sharing, Linda.
XOXO's
Meant to say Let's Dish.
Bedtime for me. ;)
Girl you are ready to PAR TAY!
"Laissez les bons temps rouler!" What a beautiful tablescrape; I'm looking forward to Fat Tuesday; my mother always made pancakes, but I prefer doughnuts. I'm throwing some beads your way, XOXO

You are so clever. Just using the tri colored candles makes such a fun but easy center piece.

Love the colors. Your table is so festive...the mask sets the mood.
I never did make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, I know several people who did. I loved all the beads they brought back
Your table looks so fun
I love it! Next year I am going to do a Mardi Gras table...I do have a mask somewhere in the house.
Those pale purple plates are gorgeous.
I envy you for having the opportunity to live in New Orleans, my favorite city in the country!
What a fun tablescape-I just love it.
You have a good weekend.
You are ready to LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!! Great tablescape!
What a fun Mardi Gras setting. I haven't been to Mardi Gras since the early 80s. Now sure I could handle it now :)
Hugs,
Laura
Great tablescape - so fun and festive! I've only been to NO one time and that was as a teen (a loong time ago) and it didn't really count. I was on a tour bus with my high school band and we drove through on our way to Texas. I've heard it's a gorgeous city; I would love to truly visit one day.
I love the green glasses and the assorted dishes that all worked so well together.
How fun! I love this, Linda. Your centerpiece is wonderful!!
Karen
Crazy flatware and I love those gray plates!
