Vintage Juice Glasses

I haven't been doing much thrift shopping but I did stop in one store a few weeks ago and found something I really love!
My first real Swanky Swigs!
Made by Hazel-Atlas for Kraft products these two glasses held Old English Cheese spread and are called Daisy... I paid 25 cents each!
I was so excited!  I have seen these glasses in many Antique Malls but always felt the price was more then I wanted to pay. So to find these at such a bargain price makes them that more loved!

I also found these two glasses
Made by the Federal Glass company they were also only 25 cents each.  In doing research I found many small juice glasses referred to as Swanky Swigs but they aren't.  I plan to do more research and do a post about this.
I also found this....
I think this medium size pitcher was also made by Federal Glass company but plan to do more research...this was only $1.51 and I think it is really cute!

I'm joining these parties
and

Don't forget our first Gratitude Party Sunday
I'll try to have the link up on Sat evening by 7pm
Hope you will join me!

Wishing you JOY,
Linda

I remember those cheese spreads and after it was gone, we had juice glasses. I think my mother must have given them away at some point when she could afford some "real" ones, but I miss the vintage and would love to have them back. Lucky you!

Great finds. I can't wait to get to Atlanta and go thrift shopping. We only have goodwill here and they overprice their things. I have to got to auctions.

Did you change your blog today? I am feeling there are some differences. Or am I crazy - quite possible.

And I do love your finds - good price too.

I do remember cheese in those glasses and mom using the glasses for juice, see they were reusing back then. "Waste not want not" as mom would say.

You know, I also remember having juice glasses in my mother's kitchen that looked similar. I also remember getting a hand towel inside a box of laundry detergent!!

GREAT finds! I too love swanky swigs. It seems to go in waves in Michigan-you find them for a short burst then nothing for a long, long time. There is a great book you can get from the library on swanky swigs...

We used these for juice when I was a girl. Mom loved the cheese that came in them and I loved the glasses. I also loved the Welch's grape jelly glasses.
