The closing on the house went smoothly and Sara and Blake and Tiger have a new home! We celebrated with a dinner at a Japanese steak house and Tiger loved the 'fire' they do on the grill.
Today was full of errands for the new house.
Tonight as I'm holding my sweet Tiger and rocking him I hear about the terrible tragedy that happened in CT today....there are no words to express my grief for those who lost loved one's and especially the children. It is unbelievable.
My prayers are joining all of yours.
I still wanted to share with you a Favorite Thing. I received this from my friend Judy at 20 North Ora....she makes the best pillows and many other crafty things which she sells on Etsy.
Isn't this the sweetest pillow made from a vintage Christmas Hankie! I love it! So cute and just perfect on my couch covered with a Christmas quilt.
I would never have thought to use the hankies in this way but I love it!
I also want to share another favorite pillow that I bought
at a craft show many years ago
Made from a chenille bedspread with an appliqued face,
this snowman makes me smile!
I'm sharing these at
and
Hug your loved one's!
Linda

So glad to hear the closing went well! Congrats to everyone on the new home:@)
Congrats to the new home owners. I bet they are thrilled right now.
Those pillows are both great.
A hankie pillow - love it!!
Hi Linda...I am SOOOO happy for your daughter, her hubs, Tiger and for you, too! Hope they have a special guest room for Grandma.
The pillows are darling.
Today, I'm unbelievably sad.
Susan
Congratulations to your daughter and hubby with the purchase of their home! That is so exciting. I thought of so many of my blogging friends when this tragedy happened.
I remembered Tiger, Nana Diana's little Sweet Cheeks and Diane at The Thrifty Groove's little Princess.
I think about Diane alot here at Christmas. I know her and Troys pain is almost as unbearable as this tragedy. To not have the sweet little one at Christmas must be heart breaking.
I hope you and your family a very happy fun filled Holiday Linda!!
The handkerchief pillow is beautiful. The old bedspread snowman pillow is very fun.
I love these! So sweet. And great ways to re-purpose stuff. :)
Congratulations to the new homeowners!!! And I know you'll be giving Tiger extra hugs and kisses just to know he's safe and sound in his grandma's arms. :@
Your pillow made by Judy is so fun and festive!
So happy for the kids - their first home. Some joy in this sadness today. Hold Tiger tight.
So glad things went well for your kids!!
Getting your first home is so exciting!
I love the pillow, have made some myself and thanks for showing the snowman, I just got 2 chennile bedspreads at auction for $1!
Congratulations to the new home owners / the pillows are both so cute / joining in prayers, yes.
So exciting with a new home--congrats! My daughter moved into a new home in October (just before Hurricane Sandy). She's still in boxes, but trying to do some things for Christmas.
We're all sad today, trying to keep some joy in my heart for when my grandson arrives on Wednesday. Much love to you, dear friend and your family, XOXO
Judy is the best seamstress I know.

Linda, I love those hankie pillows and the snowman made from chenille is adorable. Thanks for sharing.
So glad you are rocking Tiger. In these times those are the moments that matter.
Love to you and your family, Ginger
So happy that your daughter and family will be moving into a new home. What a wonderful Christmas gift.
My heart aches for the families affected by that heinous act. I just cannot imagine what that area is going through.
Cute pillows...love the snowman!
Love your pillow from Judy, Linda. It's whimsical and perfect for the season.
Thanks so much for joining in this week.

I'm so happy to hear that all is well and they are official homeowners now. Both of the pillows are adorable, so festive and clever.
We're keeping everyone in our prayers.
Hooray for the house closing. Both pillows are so sweet. Hugs
So happy for your daughter and family. How wonderful at their age to have such a beautiful home. Glad you had Tiger close by today. The news is so sad these days. Hugs, Deb
Love those pillows! Great news for the new homeowners! Hug that Tiger!
Very cute items. And I'm sorry to say that I've really been away from your blog too much, I think! I don't remember reading about Sara, Blake, and Tiger moving! Congrats to them. And yes, my heart is sad tonight, too....for the poor victims of an insane man...
I just love anything made of repurposed chenille--and I would love to have the bedspread that was on my parents' bed for so many years (I'm sure it went to the Goodwill before one of Mom's many moves). I have a sweet stuffed teddy made from a pink chenille spread. Give your Tiger an extra hug from me.
Oh, I love the hankie pillow! Sorry I am so late in visiting. I am trying to catch up. Thank you for sharing last week at TTF.
