You know how sometimes you just walk into a good deal? That happened to me last week. I stopped in a thrift store I usually pass by and hit a great sale! All the plates and glasses were 10 cents each or 12 for $1
Here is my dozen for a dollar!
I love these glasses and found 6 of them
They had been in the dishwasher a few times but I still thought they had enough beauty left in them for 10 cents each.
Two Made In Italy Plates for my tablescaping
Love the colors on these!
I'm always on the lookout for basics for my dish closet and these two cream colored plates are perfect!
That gave me 10 items....so here are the random choices for my bonus pieces!
I love this hand blown martini glass from Mexico and I wish there had been two of them but one will just have to do!
This glass just caught my eye
and I think it would make a really pretty votive holder!
Not a bad haul for $1
Now the winner of the WLYS
"Let Me Shop For You" contest is
Sandie from Chatty Crone!
I will be contacting you for some ideas of what to shop for! I'm so excited!!
Thanks to all of you who entered!
I'm joining
and
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Linda! Oh, you did great! I had those same glasses in the 70s and they were avocado green! :) They lasted forever!

I HAVE those glasses (the block pattern) only mine are clear. They were given to us as a wedding present NEW in 1975.

You are the queen of the thrift! All those for $1.00? I love the glasses.
I love those fruit plates!! Italian plates - WOW! Would be great for a fruit plate or serving plate or a hang-on-the-wall plate! If they're Italian- must be hand painted!!
Have fun on your journey this weekend. Can't wait to see what all you come back with ;-}}
Great deal! I had those glasses in amber and just was them in an antique mall 4 for $20!

That is quite the haul for a $1.00! Amazing. This must be the week for blue glasses at a thrift store. My husband (the enabler) found 8 of the same color, but different style yesterday. Good shopping! Dianne
Linda I know better to ask "hat are you going to do with all those ..this and that's....you pick up... here and there?" I am awed by your creativity. Good finds my friend.~Ames

Congrats to Sandi. I know she will be pleased with whatever you choose.
Love those blue glasses. Aren't they Whitehall, can't remember the manufacturer. I agree with Rebecca. We would have had a three way tug o' war.

A dollar? You are the thrifting expert! The glasses still have a lot of life in them and are such an unusual shape - you'll have fun with them.
I think good deals find YOU!!! You're a thrift deal magnet!!! Love that little votive holder. It reminds me a little of sandwich glass!
You got a LOT of great stuff for your dollar. Wow...You are one savvy thrift shopper, girl.:)
ooops, meant to say if you will send me a photo (bjconklin@xanadoo.com), I would love to add your potting bench to a post I am doing this coming week. :))
I am an EARLY morning person.
I allow myself the guilty pleasure of a leisurely coffee (or 2) while perusing my 'usuals' (bloglist). I may not comment often, but I am taking a few moments this morning to say 'THANK YOU' for your Random Bits that I have come to enjoy! LOVE that dozen!!!

You won't believe it but the blue glasses you are showcasing happens to be the beverage ware that I grew up using. That, along with Poppytrail's Sculptured Grape pattern and my mom just gave me every bit of it! I'm loving drinking iced tea out of the blue glassware - chips and all!
I'm flooded with childhood memories every time I set the table these days. Congrats on some great glassware. I hope you make new memories as you use them.
OMoodness!! My thrift store has neve done that....I wish!!
Great finds, I love those plates..
Happy Sunday to you Linda..
I am your new follower Linda!
