The Chicken or the Egg?
In this case....the chicken
I found this adorable set of dessert plates at the thrift shop and paid $3.50 for them on 1/2 price day. New with tags on they inspired this tablescape
A table for two!
The place setting started with a white place mat that were $1 each from Dollar Tree a few years ago
I used a blue Fiesta plate, milk glass plate with a cute out edge topped by the chick plate
Added an egg cup and faux egg for fun!
All these dishes are from my stash and were found at thrift shops or yard sales
I used white handled flatware and these pretty blue and white napkins bought on clearance from Old Time Pottery (I think)
The glass is old and has a sweet flower pattern on it. These two glasses were found at a thrift for less then $1 each
I had trouble with a centerpiece as nothing I tried made me happy. I settled on this Easter egg wreath with a candle in the center
These cute egg shaped chick Salt & Pepper shakers add to the 'theme' of this table
Sweet and Simple
After taking all these photos I did pick some flowers from the yard and think they add a nice touch of Spring!

So pretty Linda. Your pics are pretty fabulous too. Today must be the day of egg cups...my fil gave me two last week, today I saw the same exact one on another blog, and now I come over and see your pretty one. Love your plates too.
Love the plates, love the S & P and love that glass!!!
I say the chicken came first 'cause no where in the Genesis 1 account does it say "On the _____ day, God created eggs."
I'm just sayin' - - -

How cute is that little chick on the dessert plate. I also love the little egg cup. In fact, I love everything, ha. It all looks ready for Easter and spring.
What a neat place setting with all your 'Thriftin' pieces. Well done! Are you sittin' down? The footed crystal glass you paid less than a dollar for are made by Jeannette Glass Company..1932-1970...are called Iris and Herringbone and listed for $18(6") and $26 (6.5")...WooHoo!

I have seen a lot of eggs today! Must be getting near Easter - lol. Of course you did a great job as usual - very pretty and delicate looking. sandie♥
Hi Linda...What an absolutely lovely table setting! Oh, the little chickie plates are SOOOOOO cute.
Loved the candle in the middle of the egg wreath. What a great idea! You know what? I was up in the attic today, saw an egg wreath, and didn't pick it up as I already have a bunch of spring wreaths up. Think I'll go back up there and get it. It'd be perfect on a table with a candle in it! Thanks for the great idea. Susan
Hi Linda, I did a little thrifting today. I saw one of those white milk glass plates but I didn't get it. I should have though. Maybe I'll go back and grab it. I love the color scheme you went with on this table setting. I have some of those pastels in my hutch right now.~Ames
The chick plates are adorable...love that they are blue instead of yellow...such a pretty table, Linda!

I haven't read everyone's comments so perhaps someone else has already told you. You 2 gorgeous glasses are Depression Glass in the Iris and Herringbone pattern. I have a pitcher and a serving plate in that pattern which I love. $1 each is an amazing price. And your whole tablescape is so pretty.

I'm on Mr. Magpie's computer and hurrying to be out and about to visit everyone who came by. This is awful not having my own computer, but hopefully that will change in the not too distant future.
