VINTAGE ANGEL

I have tried not to buy too much while here in Houston.  Somehow I have to try to get it all home on the plane...hmmm some may have to stay here until next time...but oh well!  This little one will fly home with me for sure!

This cute little angel was just sitting in the Salvation Army waiting for me
She really called my name
especially when I looked closely and saw this
Broken wings that had been re-glued (and none to carefully on the one side)

These days I feel like this....trying hard to help my brother and family with his last days.  Being strong for my Mom and helping her accept what she cannot change.  Giving myself the OK to go ahead and grieve.

Thanks to all of my sweet and wonderful blogging friends for your prayers.  I am afraid I'm a bit maudlin and sad today.  Tomorrow will be a better day!

Linda

Linda - we are all friends here on the blog - why do we feel it is not okay to be sad once in awhile?

You are going through a HUGE deal - it is okay to be sad and maudlin!

And yes - tomorrow will be another day.

Hang tight. I am so very sorry you all have to go through this. Hugs.

When will you be home here?

Sandie

I believe blogging should be kept real, never apologize for how you really feel! Shopping, crafting ,table setting, and baking, etc. are great to do, but God help me, if that is all I did 7 days a week, I'd be broker fatter and more arthritic than what I already am!! ^o^ ((hugs)) and still sending prayers.

The angel called to you, perhaps, because right now you need an angel to help you and your family get through. Your wings might feel broken, too, but like your little angel they will heal. Blessings to you, Lynn, and to your family.

No need to apologize for being sad, you have every right to be. My thoughts are with you & your family.

So sorry for your pain and impending loss, Linda. May you and your family know God's peace and comfort during this very difficult time. It seems very fitting to have found your sweet little angel with the broken wing. May God's healing power envelop you today.

It's okay to be maudlin, sad, grieving ... these things hurt, they hurt badly. But I love your angel with the broken wing, she could not possibly be any more perfect, and yes she is going home with you! Praying ...

Dear Linda....It's perfectly okay to be maudlin and sad. What you are going through is not easy.

I have an idea! Why don't you get one of those Priority boxes at the post office, stuff it with the things you've bought, and ship it home ahead of you! The largest one is $14.50, the middle sized is $10.70 ,and the small is $4.95 (for jewelry, etc.)

You can stuff it to the gills....the weight does not matter.

I think you should do it. Susa

it's perfectly natural and normal to feel those things at times like these. there's absolutely nothing about it. says the girl who got teary eyed in big lots over a bulldog stuffed animal that she would normally buy and give to her father.

What a sweet angel. It is ok to feel like that too, hopefully, you will feel better soon. It is a lot to deal with and accept sometimes, just look ahead and keep going. Hugs to you.
