It is sad but true....I am a plate addict!
I've had this addiction for many years but it has really grown since I started blogging.  Why you ask?  well...there is Tablescaping and of course since my plates are mostly thrift finds there are parties each week where I can share them.  I know I'm not alone...I've seen those closets and storage rooms with stacks of plates (dish heaven!)
STILL with the economy the way it is I have cut down over all on my thrifting and have been really trying to avoid buying more dishes...but sometimes a girl just has to do what she has to do!

Here are the plates I have bought in the last couple of weeks
It started off very innocently....this little Corelle plate was only 10 cents and I already have a few so it made sense to add this for such a great price

Then this adorable Christmas plate was found at the thrift for 99 cents and it's just so darn cute and it's almost Christmas so this too seemed like a good purchase

Look at these beautiful lunch plates, perfect for layering for Thanksgiving, only two plates and 80 cents each.
These were a must buy...you agree right??

There were three of these cute black and white plates....I don't need them I know but look how cute and I see a wonderful future tablescape, and they were half price so for $1.50 these jumped into my cart!  If you had seen them first you would have picked them up right??

Now look at these sweet white J & G Meakin bread plates...they will look so cute with those black and white plates...1/2 price day and so only 24 cents each...I mean really!

Now we come to the real indulgence...no two ways about it these next two plates were an extravagance!
But look!
Is this not gorgeous?  A beautiful Blue Ridge plate and in pretty great condition and there was this
another amazing Blue Ridge Pottery plate
They were $3 each but the money was for a Dog Rescue Charity and well...I had too!!!

Sigh, I would tell you I won't be buying more plates but we all know that is not the truth and I just can't lie to you anyway!
So yes, My name is Linda and I'm a plate addict!

I'm joining these fun parties today

Sue at It's A Very Cherry World

Now I better get digging in that dish closet and get my Thanksgiving table set...I hope you will stop by blater in the week to see it!

Ya know Linda...it could be worse...you could be a Plate and Platter addict...like me! Really...I know you already are! Great finds and to tell you the truth...I'd have done the same thing. I found a set of Christmas Dishes in junktique shop last year after Christmas and I can hardly wait to get them out this year. Just a few more days and I'll be flooding my Blog with Christmas Cheer, Plates and Platters! Oh! Did I mention the Christmas glasses I found?? Can't wait to show them too. I know you have some...right?

Well I am so glad you finally came clean, although I think we already knew it! :) Why is it I can never find such nice plates as these? And our GW sales are always the wrong color for me.I don't think I've ever seen a half off sale here either, come to think of it. I think you are just a lucky addict. You zero in on the good stuff right off! Enjoy those pretty plates. Looking forward to your tablescaping pictures . Happy Thanksgivings!~Ames

I can't pass by a pretty plate either, and these are really cute...love the Santa Claus plate. Perfect for cookies! I have given it up for the most part since I have no room left to put them! But you go for it girl...it's a harmless {I think} addiction!

You are not alone. But sometimes those plates just have to be rescued (and books, and glassware, and anything vintage...)!Enjoy and have a lovely holiday.

Being a plate addict isn't so bad. And remember. Every dime we spend actually helps the economy! Gotta keep the money circulating. We must do our part. :-)

Great plates, Linda...I really like the rope edged orange one and the Meakin b/butters.
Wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Linda, you go ahead and buy all the plates you want, because I SO enjoy your tablescapes! And you know me, I've got my own addictions, like vintage Christmas, and pottery and picnic baskets. We're keeping the economy going. That's the way I look at it!
Happy REDnesday and Happy Thanksgiving!

I certainly will not pass any judgement on you, Linda, because I am a plate addict too. I tell myself that I'm not buying any more plates, but I still keep buying them.
Last week, I had a coupon to Coldwater Creek. I just couldn't find anything I really liked clothing-wise, so what did I buy? Plates! My husband asked, "How is it that you go into a clothing store & come out with plates?" I wish I had an answer. lol

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
One thing I am so thankful for is having you for a blogging friend.
It's always so fun to come over and see your thrifty buys. I love thrifting, too, so I know how excited you get when you find something you love for mere pennies. :))

I've got my hand raised too! Of all the things we could be addicted to I think plates is probably one of the most fun. Love your finds and I just love it when those sweet treasures jump into my cart at GW.
Happy Thanksgiving.

lol lol Well...you have accomplished the first step...recognizing your problem and calling it what it is. Then...I don't know what the next step is because I never discovered it! Lovely plates that had to be rescued...especially the Blue Ridge! If you figure out step two, let me know! It might have something to do with running out of storage...although I do have some under the guest bed! Happy Thanksgiving!...hugs...Debbie

Yes sweetheart you are a plate addict, but you are in good company. I am so excited that you won the giveaway. I know you will enjoy the teapot and tea cozy. Not sure you need the book, being the southern gal that you are. However, you may be able to pass it on. I will get it in the mail to you on Friday, as I am not planning to go out today.
Again, congrats, I am glad you won.
Blessing, Happy Thanksgiving

Oh dear, Linda, I'm a plate addict too. I have had to stop all together because we have no room for them in the cabinets and such. I had to cut my collection down to three of my favorite designs and keep those only.

I love your Santa plate. Anything Christmasy is tops on my list. I love Debbie Mum's cute portrayals of Santas and snowmen. I have a few of her lovely plates that come out at Christmas time.

Linda, I used to be a plate addict too! Maybe not to the extent of your habit, but a plate addict non the less!!! LOL! Now, I've replaced it with collecting everything else!

Anyway, you are the Queen of setting a table girl, and you know how we bloggers love looking at them.

So, there you go...I am an enabler.

Being addicted to something so pretty isn't so bad!!! Your plates are so cute - my favorite is the black and white - with the Corelle plate a close second.

Linda I am with you! I would have purchased all these lovely plates! The black and white is really retro cool! But I am a sucker for the Christmas season and all the treasures that go with it! I will set my Thanksgiving table with my Princess House red Pavillion dinner plates. I have the set in beige and red so I can mix and match too! They are plain but the edge is scalloped and I really love the simplicity of them! I am so grateful to know you and I am so grateful my kids are under the roof with us this year! Hugs Anne

I am a plate lover too, but I have to limit myself to what I can store and I'm running out of room. I like Corelle because it stores so compactly. I just posted about using my Christmas dishes today at my son and daughter-in-law's home. :)
