WOULD YOU BUY IT WEDNESDAY

I wanted to join Stephanie's party this week since I've had this photo from the longest yard sale
ready and waiting!

So would you buy this??
A Fire-hydrant
It's yellow and rusty and weighs a ton!
NO not for me and hey what would you do with it??

Now, would you buy this??
Awww much more my style...
I did say to myself, Linda you do not need another green canister...but look at it!!!  Wonderful color, that design
No plastic, just a lovely ground edge and the price????
$1.01.....so YES it came home with me!

Please stop by Junker Newbie's blog for her party

I wouldn`t dare let The Great Dane see that hydrant because he`d want to come home with it. There`s a solid brass pump lying in the garage, and heaven knows what-else!

I would buy the fire hydrant in a heartbeat!
Although I don't really need one - there are 3 working hydrants on the edges of my acreage. (The only bonus of encroaching city.)
I would probably paint it as a character.

I like the green container as well, especially since it has decoration, and I am learning that a dollar is almost not "too much" for anything.
I am also learning that a dollar here and another one there can add up to a LOT of money by the end of the month.

You know me, if it's glass and has a design, plus it's a STEAL . . . of course I'd buy it. As for the fireplug, no. Well, maybe if IT were a buck. I never did share the stuff I got at the WLYS but I really only got some costume jewelry, 5 trinket boxes and two milk glass A-H "Bubble" serving bowls. I almost didn't even stop but it was on my way home from Ohio so of course I HAD to!

I love the chippy yellow paint, but I wouldn't buy it. I do love that green canister and the price is so right.

I have the whole set of green canisters. My mom gave them to me I think in '67 or'68. I think the pattern is called "Moon and Stars".

Hi Linda! Oh, I love that pretty little green canister but I do think I'd pass on that yellow $40 beauty! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,

I would buy the fire-hydrant, it would go in my garden or at the end of my yard. someones dog always goes there anyway, so way not make a joke of it and have a pleace for them to go. My hubby on the other hand would have a cow if I bought it. The green glass is not something I think I would buy.

Hugs,
Melissa

I'd pass on the hydrant, but I'd buy the green jar for a friend of mine. :)

I love that shade of yellow and all the chippy paint, but I'd have to pass on it. I'd love to get it and resell, but it's too big to carry around. Not sure I'd be able to lift it either. I think it would be great in a big yard though. Love the pretty green canister, I'd buy it!

While I love the yellow color, I'd have to pass on the hydrant. I have no idea where I would put it...I don't really have a garden or anything. However, I would definitely have picked up the fabulous green glass container!

One could always buy their dog his own personal fire hydrant!
I would probably buy that cute little green canister, though...

Hydrant...definitely not!!! The Moon and Star canister would have come home with me, especially at that price! You always find some great buys!!!

What a fun idea for a party! No, don't think the fire hydrant would have gone home with me. The green canister - you bet! Great find!

NO- fire hydrant
BIG FAT YES_ green canister, because it can be used and that is my number one criteria!

Too fun...REALLY makes me want to think of a great way to use that fire hydrant, but nothing comes to mind ;) Glad you bought the canister...practical, pretty and cheap...3 of my favorite things! Laurel

Yup! I am going with the green canister over the fire hydrant too! Kind of pricey isn't it? Great deal on the canister and it truly is a lovely color.

I would pass on the green and get the fire hydrant!! My husband is a fireman and it would look great in his "man room" -- but even if he wasn't I would still get it!! If it is big, heavy, chunky, chippy, and industrial - I have to have it!

I would have to say no on the fire hydrant living in town they are everywhere and both places I lived they were right next to the driveway but would make a cute decor in the garden

Ann@A Sentimental Life said...

LOL!!~ HMMM...No on the firehydrant, although, I would have stopped and pondered it. Yes on the green glass jar, very pretty.

I'm still scratching my head and trying to come up with a reason to buy the hydrant. Now if it were free i wouldn't even think twice, that baby would be coming home with me. I have all girl dogs, so it would not be for them. hmmmmm...still thinking.
Green cannister is pretty, but I don't have room in the kitchen for it so no, I would be passing on that one. It really was a great buy though!

As far as the hydrant...nope. I could just see me trying to get it in and out of the car, dropping it on my foot, and ending up with some pricey medical bills. Some things are better left where they are. :@

I'll take a green canister please! A fire hydrant! I would need Sweets to help me carry it I am sure! Hee Hee! Love you always Linda!

I have to admit, if the price on the hydrant was lower, I would probably get it, paint and put it in the yard for my two dogs! I have a green canister in my pantry like that one but mine is a bit taller than what yours seems to be. I have had it a very long time and cannot even remember how and when I got it.

Tracy
