THRIFTY GREEN GLASS FRIDAY

I haven't been thrifting much in the past few weeks.  I've been busy and with the longest yard sale coming I've been saving my pennies for that!  Still last week I found this great glass jar.
It was only 50 cents so I could not pass it up
I added it to a windowsill with some other green items
I love the way it looks...

I plan to add some more glass to my window sills and I hope I find some great bargains like this bottle on my trip next week

I am joining Diann for
Thrifty Things Friday
I hope you will stop by Diann's party and enjoy the fun posts.  Diann is having a giveaway so head on over!

Happy Junkin,
Linda

I like how it looks - especially with the greenery in the background. Green is one of my favorite colors.

That green jar was a great find for only 50 cents. It looks good in the window. (That's a nice picture you took with the green outside showing.)

That forest green color is one of my favorites. You made a great score at 50 cents. Keep those thrifting skills sharp for the WLYS!!!

That vibrant green would brighten up a rainy day - you'd better keep it in the window for fall.

Well, you certainly can't go wrong for 50 cents. You sure did well. I love how the lid itself is green.

Charlie! I think that maybe while "she" and your mom Linda are both at the longest yard sale, we should have a party at your house. I'll bring the anchovy pizza, okay??!

BTW - "she" says that the green glass is indeed very pretty!!!

Purrs!

I just discovered your lovely blog and I look forward to popping by again for some more inspiration! I've just put the finished touches on my new blog ‘Coastal Style’ It will have lots of inspiration on beach houses, resortwear, summer food, travel and anything ‘beachy’. I had a lot of fun putting it together so maybe you would like to check it out if you have a spare minute.

There was a jar exactly like that on our kitchen windowsill when I was little, so when I had my own home, I was so happy to find one for myself! I love how it looks when the sun shines through it. You must be getting so excited for your trip Linda. Can't wait to read all about your experiences on the road!

Love the green glass and how it looks on your windowsill. I like the color green but after reading this post, I realized that I do not have very many green items around the house.

I live in Alabama...I think the longest yard sale extends into north Alabama but I have never been. When does it start? Where could I get more information on it? I love your green glass collection. I like the color of green glass that JoAnn's Fabrics carries and I either use a coupon to get a little at a time or wait for it to go on clearance.

You do not see green glass as often as the other colors. Even red seems to be more available, and of course blue. During your wonderful trip see if you notice green glass and true yellow. You may be surprised.
