I have such a busy week ahead of me.
Monday I go and help my oldest daughter pack up her apartment.
She is finally moving to California!
I am so happy for her but sad at the same time. Ashleigh works for Google and has been in Atlanta since she started with them in 2004. She has moved up in the company and it's finally time for her to move to Calif and work at the 'Googleplex' in Mountain View.

I will miss having her so close but I know this is the best thing for her career, and hey who wouldn't love to work there!
Good news I will get to visit her!
Later in the week I will be going back to camp to help Sara & Blake pack up to return home...this means
TIGER TIME!
I know he has grown so much since last time I saw him!
It will be a hard week for me but also filled with joy!

Our firm is part of the Best Companies list and this year I was lucky enough to go to the Great Place to Work Institute. It's fantastic to learn about workplace cultures of places like Google, Zappos, Build-a-Bear, etc. Lucky daughter!!!

What an exciting opportunity for your daughter. She is so lucky to have a good steady job with a good company. Mountain View is only about an hour from me, you'll have to let me know when you're out visiting.

Oh, Linda, California and Georgia are just SO far away. I feel for you...your daughter too, as I know how difficult it is to live far away from family...how lonely it can be. My very best to her as she walks down this new road.

Life is bittersweet sometimes and this is one of those instances. Your daughter moves far away, it's sad, but it's a good career move AND to California, so that's good. And you now have a beautiful baby grandson to love, so surely that makes up for it a little bit!

Your daughter is moving from my hometown to the state I spent most of my life in! That video is amazing! I want to work for Google! I love these new companies that are building workplaces that are geared towards providing a wonderful atmosphere to work in and that are eco-friendly. This is the wave of the future! Corporations that don't just look at the bottom line and understand that if they build upon the people they have, the bottom line will follow. Brilliant!

There is sooh much to do and see out there. I lived in Monterey when hubs #1 was stationed at the Presidio of Monterey. What a lovely place that was. Can't believe it's time to pack up and leave camp. This summer is really flying. The inn has been so busy, I barely know what day it is and now July just got away from me.
