A BASKET OF THRIFTY FINDS

I am like most of you and sweltering in this heat wave!  This week I went out only when I had too.   Last Friday there was a moving sale in my neighborhood.  It was easy to just run over there to see what they had.  I'm glad I went early because people were grabbing items left and right!  I was amazed at the great prices and keep piling up stuff...oh my!
This is most of what I found including this basket for 50 cents
I found so many interesting and useful items I kept buying and buying
A vintage postcard and two brooches
75 cents total
Rooster S&P set $1
Some cat items, pink items and some amazing dishes
This pattern is called 'GEORGIA" by Johnson Bros...I got two dinner plates, 2 square plates and 2 saucers for $3
The seller had so many lovely plates
I choose these 6 bread plates in fall colors
Two round tablecloths, a glass frog and several items not shown that will be Christmas presents.  It was a great sale and I left with a huge smile on my face!

I'm joining Diann at The Thrifty Groove for Thrifty Things Friday

Don't forget my contest
HERE
I will shop for one of you on the WLYS!
Ends July 23rd at midnight

Stay cool,
Linda

So many nice things and how cheap were they!

Oh lovely things Linda! I love the star fish. It looks like Blue Sky clayworks and would go perfect with my Mermaid I keep in my guest bathroom. The JB plates are beautiful. They look like they would be found on a Georgia sideboard at a stately plantation. And considering I always decorate for Halloween, I am drawn to the orange and black tablecloth. You really came away with some nice finds! ~Ames

Wow, Linda, you got some beautiful items!! The Johnson Brothers china is gorgeous. LOVE it!! Also, that postcard and the brooches...so pretty.

I always love the thrill of yard sale-ing. Haven't done much of it this year, due to being away, then having an out of town guest. Maybe tomorrow!!

Have a great day.

Love,
Patti

That does sound like it was a fun sale.
I have not been out to yard sales in a couple weeks but yesterday I could take the heat no longer and went in search of a little a/c therapy. Not only did I find some wonderful goodies to share (once the computer is feeling better) but they also had free bakery from a local shop. Muffins and pumpkin bread and bagels, oh my!
Love your orange kitty finds!

I've often wondered if people who live in hot places, like Georgia, get used to the heat. Well, you answered my question! LOVE those Fall plates, and I expect to see a tablescape with them soon. Ahhhh Fall. Fall sounds good right now!
