MONDAY MORNING!

I was hoping to never have to share this with you, but....
Mr ALC had an addiction!
Yes it's true!  He is addicted to...
COFFEE!
Not just any Coffee, it must be
Not a problem unless there isn't a Trader Joe's near where you live...so we travel several miles every other month to stock up on our  HIS coffee!  So when we do we also go junkin!  I know its a hardship but someone has to do it.
Near one of the TJ's is a fun Flea Market where I found two cute items
OK so he has been broken and glued back together...I did walk away from him, I did!  But he kept calling my name and I knew he needed a home.  He was only $1 and I just had to save him!
This Orphan S&P was 75 cents and is so pretty and joins my collection...then I went back for the Elephant!

We also went to a Thrift shop and I found just a couple of things...
These great McCoy coffee mugs were only 50 cents each
This cute mug was 39 cents....what's that you say?  I have a 'coffee' addiction of my own???  Coffee Mugs??  well you just might be right!

I'm joining Thrift Share Monday
with Apron Thrift Girl

Thanks for visiting!  I'm planning a great July Giveaway...stay tuned!

Hugs,
Linda

Linda, I love TJ! I too have to travel about 40 minutes into another state (yes, I am a diehard fan!) but one is supposed to be opening soon here on SI. Your mugs are great especially the Hull brown, great find. Looking forward to your giveaway. xo,

I'm addicted to good ole Folger's Classic Coffee. There's not a Trader Joes here and that might be a good thing!!! Love the little elephant!

My beverage addiction started when I was evry young, in fact I do believe there are addictive qualities to chocolate milk. The only kind I have discovered I do NOT care for is Swiss Miss which tastes too much like hot colored water. To show I am addicted I can even drink that if you add marshmallows.
No TJs near me but I think I could find several less than an hour away. I have heard they are worth a drive.
Now I WOULD drive for that cute elephant and orphaned S&Ps.

Hey, Linda. Now I'm going to have to look for that coffee next time I go to Trader Joe's. Usually I buy bagged coffee from Dunkin Donuts but it's so doggone expensive ($8.99 a pound).

Anyway, I think your Honey's coffee addiction goes great with your coffee mug addiction. Great finds! Take care. Susan

If I want to go to a TJ, I have to drive 424 miles! I love that you saved the adorable little elephant.

That is my favorite coffee...no Trader Joe's in our area right now...one will be opening in Leawood, KS on July 15. Of all the stores in Phoenix TJ's is the one I miss the most.

I don't like coffee but that elephant is so adorable, I'm glad you went back to rescue him.

Hi Linda,
I just love the little elephant and am so glad that you went back for it. The fact that it was loved enough to be repaired is part of its charm. I remember having an elephant planter similar to that in my room when I was a little girl...funny how a photo can stir up an old memory like that. Great finds, as always!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Love going along on your excursions, Linda! I seem to spend a great deal of time writing down sad poems or complicated blog posts, and when I visit you, I am treated to a visual bonanza of "feel-good!"

Thanks, and as always...........Namaste......cj

I have a coffee addiction too....mine has to be Starbuck's French Roast. If I don't get my morning cups I am one cranky lady!!
No TJ's around here yet.....but I see where Marigene commented that the Leawood, KS store is opening in July. Only a 45 minute drive.....I can handle that!

Coffee always tastes better out of a good mug. Glad to hear you get to squeeze in a little thrifting while coffee shopping. Aren't you glad you didn't leave the little elephant behind?

I confess, I also have a coffee addiction. I've never had trader joe's though and there isn't one anywhere near me.
Looks like the trip is worth taking though since you also get to hit the flea market and thrift shop

What a cute post Linda. I was chuckling all the way through it. That little elephant planter is so cute, and as always, your purchases were such great deals! I suspect you make your husband think you don't care what kind of coffee you drink, so he'll feel guilty and go to flea markets when he goes to buy HIS coffee! laurie

Terrific finds! I love that little orphaned shaker - I wouldn't have been able to leave it there either. Thanks for sharing.

Linda I have to admit I have a coffee addiction as well. Only mine is to my Keurig Pods!

You had to bring that little elephant home! He needed to be loved!!

Well, at least your addictions complement each other! :)

I am drinking my second cup of coffee right now! My hubby mixes beans and then grinds them for his own special blend...addiction? Oh yes! Love your cute coffee mugs and that precious elephant! I know he's happy now! ♥

I like their French Roast for my coffee addiction!

My mother in law had tons of those McCoy cups.

I love one good strong cup of coffee every morning - or I don't function!

I don't know how you do it Linda, I can't bring myself to buy orphan S&P shakers. I just can't.

I saw a beaut in the Salvation Army last week, found pepper, but salt was nowhere to be found. So I left it.

Dragonfly Treasure said...

Great finds! I found a similar S&P single shaker the same design but in different colors not too long ago. I made it into a tassel ;)
Have a great week!

I've never had Trader Joe's coffee, but I love coffee too! I used to drink a pot a day and I am down to one cup a day. It's still hard for me to walk past a coffee stand. The smell just draws you in.

I have those same cups in your first picture only mine are red.~Ames

I have never been to a
Trader Joes. I hear everyone talking about it. So I Googled and found that we have one 27 miles away. I'm going to have to check it out. And tell Mr. ALC, I can totally relate to the addiction! lol
