B is for Birthday!
Today it is Mr ALC's Birthday!
We love vintage gifts and here are a couple of fun items I gave him today
This Vintage Hygrometer and Thermometer Plaque
This souvenir Coffee Mug from the 1950's ~ we were at Clingman's Dome last fall and so this was a very cool find

Now B is also for Britain....

In the mid 80's my Mom took a trip to England and brought back some fun items for us
This is an egg coddler she bought for herself but has since
passed on to me
This egg coddler was bought for me and started my collection of them
This piece of Wedgwood is really sweet
Maybe someone knows the name of the castle shown on this plate

Mom gave me this beautiful English China mug featuring a Rose for my birth month~ June
This was the postcard she sent us

A few things for the girls
This very sweet little doll

And of course a Double Decker bus

My favorite item was this
Princess Diana paper doll and coloring book~ notice Prince William holding Prince Harry on the front

Diana's famous wedding dress... I can't wait to see Kate's tomorrow

B is also for Bath
You didn't think I would miss a chance to post a Tiger photo did you??

I'm joining a couple of fun parties today

Jenny Matlock for Alphabe-Thursday

Suzanne's Vintage Thingy Thursday

I must mention the devasting storms to hit the south yesterday.  We were Blessed and the storms went to the north and the south of us.  So many were not so lucky.  Prayers for lives and homes lost are needed.

Loved all your B's this morning and Tiger is getting big. We had sirens and tornado warnings at 2 this morning but luckily the mountains broke it up. I'm glad the storms missed you guys.

If we ever meet Linda, you can have the 3 coddlers I found thrifting. I would mail them to you, but they would cost me a fortune. I'm coming to N.C. and maybe GA. in Oct. You just never know ; )
Tiger awwwwwwww loved bath time with my kids too.

Hi Linda ~ I especially love the Princess Diana paper dolls! What a great collectible! ~ Tiger is so precious! It's always fun to see pics of that little cutie! ~ I pray that you didn't get any damage from those horrible tornadoes that we had! They were so scary! We had a warning here about midnight, but the storm went just to the north of us, thankfully.

Hi, I think the castle on your Wedgwood is Windsor Castle. The Queen lives there sometimes. There was a massive fire there a few years back and it was quite badly damaged but has been restored.

The Paddington Bear books were some of my favorites to read to my children. I'm the kind of gal to wear a marmalade sandwich under her hat as well!

Happy Birthday to Mr. ALC! What fun gifts!

That vintage mug is really beautiful.

What a sweet, sweet baby. There is just something about the innocence of children that is such a blessing.
