Not long ago in one of my walks through a favorite thrift I found this set of dishes! Now I don't need more dishes but I fell in love with the pattern and colors. Vernon Ware by Metlox of California.
The pattern is called Vineyard
It was Senior Discount Day so I could not resist
They are not traditional fall colors but bring hints of the season
I started with a soft green lacy tablecloth
I then added tan place mats, fall napkins with a leaf design another thrift store find
Napkin rings are from Pier 1 ~ 4 leaf shapes I found them new at the thrift all four for $1
I also used the bronze handled silverware that I have used many times before, such a warm color
I layered the plates as follows
Vineyard dinner plate, soft green salad plate, Vineyard desert plate
A cute dollar tree pumpkin on top
These wine glasses were a recent find at the Goodwill
Four glasses for $1.90
Cup and saucer for tea or coffee
For a centerpiece I found a candle in the tan color
I put it on a matching Vineyard plate on a pedestal
surrounded by leaves
I scattered some fall leaves and glass pieces for sparkle
added some small brown tea lights
These little birds flew in to provide salt & pepper
I was late getting this table done and used a flash
It really does wash out some of the colors
Of course there is always candlelight
I am joining in a couple of fun parties
