PYREX ADDITIONS TO MY ADDICITON!

Yes it's true...I'm a Pyrex addict.  I'm in a 12 step program as we speak but yes I do love my Pyrex!  Recently I had lunch with some of my favorite Atlanta blogging friends.  We celebrated Sues (Rue Mouffetard) birthday...let's just say Sue is now my age!  Welcome to the club!  After a fun lunch, presents and more desserts then we could eat (really that's true and who would have thought that) we went to this great Antique Mall.   Along for the fun was Sandie from Chatty Crone and our wonderful friend Denise who does not blog but should!   Now I love Antique Malls and looking but unless it's a great price I don't usually buy...but look what I got!
This wonderful 1~1/2 qt beauty
No lid but for $4.50 I grabbed it
So far I have not been able to identify this pattern

This next piece of Pyrex has led a rough life
Scratches, discoloration and less then stellar cleaning
It needed a good home and for $1.50 it found one
Cleaned up and happy now, I will use this piece for sure.

I am joining Vintage Thingy Thursday
with Suzanne at Colorado Lady
Be sure to visit all the other great vintage posts today!

The link for Junkin Finds Friday will be up later tonight
I hope you will come join me and show off any of your thrifty finds!

Happy Junkin,
Linda

I always love to see your Pyrex, makes me think about which relative had it and brought what in it to Grandma's for Christmas!

LOVE the Pyrex! -- which you already knew. ;) That first piece is just drool worthy. When you find out more about the pattern, be sure to let us know. And $1.50 for that red covered bowl? Incredible! Lucky you! It cleaned up nicely.

I remember a Pyrex bowl that always held the corn casserole at Thanksgiving -- I think it was white with a blue pattern. Joni

How many nights a week does the Pyrex 12 step program meet?
did you have trouble finding a sponsor? You are very funny!

I have old pyrex from my mom and grandmother, and I love it too. I have various colors and clear, and some that is a golden luster color--my favorite. Linda

Pyrex has always been a great cookware. It was very useful years ago and seem more popular now.

Hi Linda!

I love that red with lid piece! I know it is a bit beat up but, still a beauty. The other one is awesome too and with a design I have not seen. Good Pyrex finds! One of these days you are going to have to give me a list of the pyrex you are really looking for. I have no clue when it comes to Pyrex pieces and I see a lot of them out thrifting.

Your pyrex finds were fabulous, Linda. I have a bowl that was my mother's when I was very young and I plan on having it until I'm old and... well, I'm already getting gray... so until I'm very, very old. :-)

I love the red, but I have to lean toward the brown and creamy tan one. For some reason I'm just drawn to browns and natural colors for my kitchen.

I can't wait for Junkin' Finds Friday! I had better get my photos in order. :-)

See you then,
Susan

Yes, it's been a very busy day and my brain seems to be a little rattled. I forgot to say I'm happy you had such a good time with your local Georgian blogging friends. It sounds like it was a very pleasant time.

Blessings,
Susan

Hope you're having a lovely Thursday.

Patti
